David W. Juliano | Founder, Retired | Juliano Associates

David enjoys watching the firm continue to grow and expand, even though he has stepped back from his daily duties. He continues to offer his knowledge and expertise when needed, simply because he enjoys brainstorming about the latest projects that the team is working on. Staff members appreciate his years of experience and an extra set of eyes when he stops by the office for a visit. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1964, he worked for the Department of Water Resources in Sacramento, California. A job with an international engineering company brought him back to the East Coast in 1969. David obtained his Professional Engineers license in 1970 and then ventured off on his own in 1973 when he established Juliano Associates in the basement of the family’s house. David continued to grow the company and in 1979 obtained his Land Surveyors license. In 1986, David purchased and renovated the building that currently serves as Juliano Associates’ home office. David was a registered Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor in Connecticut and has also held registrations as a Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont throughout his career.

Christopher officially began his career in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineer. Unofficially his plans to be an engineer and surveyor started when he was in sixth grade and spent a day working with his father’s employee painting aerial targets for an upcoming project near ESPN in Bristol. Christopher obtained his Professional Engineer’s license in 1997 and his Land Surveyor’s license in 2009. He continues to expand his knowledge base by earning continuing education credits in engineering, surveying and business topics. Christopher’s primary focus is the day-to-day operations of the firm along with the scheduling of the numerous surveying and engineering projects that the firm works on at any one time. He manages the office administration, project engineering and project oversight, including quality control and project management. He utilizes his extensive experience in hydraulics, hydrology, site planning, site design and land surveying to guide and teach his employees. As a result, Christopher personally reviews or works on every single project at Juliano Associates. Named to Business Times’ 40 under 40 list in 2002, Christopher is also the 2nd Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors. Christopher is a registered Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor in Connecticut.
